The festival introduced storytelling challenge with a vision to appeal to newer form of creators who use spoken words as a format to create great content. The festival re-aligned it’s programming to Create – Collaborate – Celebrate, putting together 80+ sessions across Films, Digital, Literature and Music – a single umbrella roof for creators!

50 Hour Filmmaking Participants – 23,000 filmmakers from across 240 cities and 20 countries

Festival Attendees – 10,000 people

The festival shifted to Mumbai this year. The final day was full of interesting conversations about the new-age content with All India Bakchod, The Viral Fever, Culture Machine, East India Comedy, Y-Films, The Logical Indian, Anupama Chopra, Omung Kumar, Kanan Gill, Raja Sen, Bollywood Gandu, Anisha Rickshawali and many more. More than 11,000 filmmakers from across India flew down to attend the festival followed by the awards night.

The festival grew multi-folds with international participation flowing in from over 18 countries for the first time. The season 5 also saw IFP’s first female jury and first time that over 30% participant were female filmmakers.
